In order to fix this issue, we need to remove the account, and subsequently the files from your computer; therefore, we'll have to manually remove specific folders. Please make sure you have anything of importance backed up before completing any of this process, since deleting files may have adverse affects on your data. Once everything is backed up, follow the steps outlined below: • Quit Google Drive. • Open Finder and Press Command + Shift + G - this will open a small panel asking you to enter a directory location • Copy and paste without the quotes: '~/Library/Application Support/Google'. Then Go. • Drag the Drive folder to your local Trash bin. • Rename the Google Drive folder 'Backup Google Drive'. Note: When renaming the folder, your web files will sync again down to your computer. • Drag the 'Google Drive' app from your Applications list into Trash. • Empty your Trash. • Reinstall Drive from here:.
